Cooking-Up a Storm, Saturday 7th July, 2:30pm, Waterstones, Bury
After a very successful launch during the Manchester Children’s Book Festival, Animal Stewauthors will be reading at Waterstone’s in Bury on Saturday, 7thJuly at 2.30pm.
Animal Stew is a collection of short stories for children about animals – and the event will keep young and old readers alike amused.
The book was written by current MA Children’s Writers at Manchester Metropolitan University alongside recent graduates.
Helen Sea, who will be sharing her story, Flea-Catcher, on Saturday, says: “Reading to young people is exciting for us as writers and we promise an entertaining hour.”
Noel Fagan, who will be reading from The Pig Who Wasn’t Particular, says: “It is always wonderful to hear stories read aloud – we all like being read to.”
Iris Feindt, who will be reading from Turtles Don’t Tap, says: “Waterstone’s in Bury is a lovely venue and it’ll be a brilliant event for young people.”
If you happen to be in Bury on Saturday, 7thJuly at 2.30pm, make sure to pop in – and you don’t even have to bring your children.
The event is free.
