Today the Manchester Children’s Book Festival were delighted to welcome special guest Michael de Souza’s Rastamouse to the 2016 FREE Family Fun Day.
Walking into the building, Rastamouse was greeted by excited children (and parents!) eager to meet the big star of the day.
Families gathered around to take photographs, give high-fives and a good old jam with him. As his hips started rolling and his hands were in the air, it wasn’t only the children joining in the jammin’ session!
Parents got into the spirit and it was a sight to see as all the children crowded around him for a dance and a photo.
As the jammin’ session ended, Rastamouse walked around Family Fun Day, giving everyone a chance to see him. Some of the mums and dads were even more excited at seeing him than their children were!
Jacqui, one of the parents attending with her son, said, “The kids have loved seeing Rastamouse today! We’ve got some fantastic pictures and we can’t wait to come next year.”
The Manchester Children’s Book Festival runs from 24th June – 3rd July. Download the 2016 brochure for information on upcoming events.
