Join us for a fun-filled family afternoon in celebration of LGBTQI history month at the Manchester Central Library.
From 12-4PM on Saturday 25 February the library will be packed with children’s storytimes, LGBT inspired crafts, green screen activities and stop motion animation sessions with Archives+ and Proud 2b Parents.
There’ll also be a number of other groups and organisations from the LGBTQI community on hand to share their history with archive stalls and information posts.
The People’s History Museum will also be joining us for the afternoon. They will be supporting a performance of “Live Letters”, words of hope, encouragement and wisdom, read out from real letters. There’ll also be a number of LBGT gems from Manchester Central Libraries collections, as well as Archives+ handling sessions.
The entire event is completely free, and there’s no need to book.
